Post: Black Employee Network, Comcast Juneteenth

Thank you @comcast for having me as a keynote speaker this evening.

Dr. Shaniqua Jones, a guest speaker at the Comcast Black Employee Network’s Juneteenth celebration, provided a thought-provoking perspective on the holiday. She approached Juneteenth through an intersectional and restorative lens, emphasizing the interconnectedness of various forms of oppression and the importance of working towards liberation and equity for all marginalized communities. Dr. Jones emphasized the need to recognize the complexities of identity and power dynamics, and to strive towards justice and inclusivity in our collective efforts towards healing and reconciliation. Her presentation offered a powerful call to action for attendees to consider the broader implications of Juneteenth and to actively participate in creating a more just and equitable society.
